The Peoplechart management team has considerable experience in executive management – from large,
established companies to start-up businesses. Each person contributes a wide range of operational,
clinical, and technical expertise to Peoplechart, building the company from every angle, in every detail.
Our team is dedicated to delivering the highest level of quality and customer service, with meticulous
attention and protocol to our system security, privacy, and each encounter with our customers.
Megan Mok, CEO and Founder
Megan started Peoplechart in 1999 from having personally experienced the frustration and difficulty of
collecting the medical records for an ailing parent. Prior to starting Peoplechart, Megan served as
management consultant for a San Francisco-based technology company. During the 1990's, she became Vice President
at Bank of America after four years in the industry, where she held several management positions, including
Senior Manager of Technical Finance for the Mergers and Acquisitions Group, Head of Marketing Research and
Analysis for Consumer Loan Division, and Senior Manager for Database Projects and Product Development.
Megan is a graduate of University of Chicago with an MPP from the Harris School of Public Policy and
an MBA in Finance from the Graduate School of Business. She received the Alfred P. Sloan Scholarship at
John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and has a Bachelors Degree in Economics from
Columbia University.
Simon Chadwick, Systems Integration and Database Developer
With more than 20 years of experience in database design and integration, Simon brings a solid
understanding of Microsoft user applications and service oriented architecture, variety of dot NET solutions,
and broad design background that balances functional flexibility with attention to systems security. He has
deep appreciation for getting the database design and architecture right so that it can deliver robust
displays of data for needs of various users as part of the integration work that he performs on behalf of
Peoplechart with various health data sources.
Prior to Peoplechart, Simon worked on information translation, mapping, and display for a health claims
processing company for employees where scanned paper claims are converted to XML format using claims validation
and OCR technology. Other health-related work included development of integration system for PacAdvantage, a
large health insurance administrator that processed and display insurance quotes from 14 trading partners to
consumers and organizations. Simon was also primary developer for document exchange module for an international
auto-transportation company, GPS mapping system, and countless projects using dot Net architecture and Microsoft
windows server applications.
Simon earned Bachelors of Science in Computer Science with honors from the University of Cape Town.
Dave Holvey, Systems Development Advisor
Dave serves as a technical advisor to Peoplechart on areas of systems
development and information security. He is also the primary inventor for Peoplechart pending patent on
system security. Dave is Senior Vice President and Division Manager of Wells Fargo Bank's Integrated Database
Strategy group. His division provides systems development and decision support for the Bank's marketing,
product management, product pricing and risk management functions. Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 1996,
Dave was Senior Vice President at Bank of America, where he spent 4 years managing Bank's Relationship Marketing
Group and 6 years with Bank of America's Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Finance areas.
Dave holds Master of Science degree from MIT's Sloan School of Management with concentrations in Applied
Economics and Management Information Systems.
Joel Mattox, Marketing and Product Management
Joel brings 15 years of high-technology marketing experience to Peoplechart, including the launch of more
than 25 profitable technical products which earned combined revenues well in excess of $1 billion. His marketing
experience includes Fortune 100 companies such as Seagate and Quantum, as well as smaller high-growth technical
companies including E-Color, iQ Commerce, Phoenix Technologies, and Brooktrout Technology.
Joel earned his Bachelor of Science from MIT in Mechanical Engineering, and his Masters degree in Finance and
New Product Marketing from MIT's Sloan School of Management.
Jeannette Koijane, MPH
Jeannette Koijane, MPH received her graduate degree from the University of Hawaii and her undergraduate from
Cornell University. She currently serves as Peoplechart Project Coordinator, primarily in Hawaii, where she
oversees onsite deployment and operational support for various research projects. Jeannette works as a liaison
between Peoplechart headquarter and project sites to provide guidance, training, information, and oversight for
patient enrollment and ongoing operations.
Prior to Peoplechart, Jeannette has consulted for a variety of public health organizations including the
United Nations' AIDS Prevention Program, the National Kidney Foundation, the Hawaii Donor Coalition and Hawaii's
Coalition for Integrative Medicine. She is also an advisor to Zahana, a rural development organization in Madagascar,
and to Hawaii's Palliative and End-of-Life Care Coalition.
Eduardo Ortiz, MD, MPH, Clinical Informatics Consultant
Dr. Ortiz has been involved in the development of PHR since the field's very beginning, when the concept was
still being defined on a national level. His insights into the current status and direction of PHR implementation,
particularly from the public-policy and informatics perspectives, are valuable contributions to the continuing
development of Peoplechart.
Eduardo was Associate Chief of Staff at the VA Medical Center in Washington, D.C., where he also continued to
teach and provide clinical care. He is board-certified internist with advanced training in clinical informatics,
health-services research, and continuous quality improvement. He serves as a faculty member in the Division of
Health Sciences Informatics at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and as a clinical-faculty member at the George
Washington University School of Medicine. Most recently, he worked as an Associate Physician for the Division of
General Medicine of the Brigham and Women's Hospital (Partners Healthcare System).
Eduardo is a past chair of the Evidence-Based Medicine Task Force for the Society of General Internal Medicine.
Before joining the VA, he was senior adviser for clinical informatics to the AHRQ Center for Primary Care,
Prevention, and Clinical Partnerships. Other positions he has held include faculty member at the UC-San Diego
School of Medicine, staff physician at the VA San Diego Healthcare System, investigator with the VA-RAND Health
Sciences Program, and site coordinator for the Southern California Evidence-Based Practice Center in San Diego.
Eduardo is noted for developing programs on evidence-based health care and clinical informatics for local and
national audiences of physicians, pharmacists, nurses, administrators, and other health-care personnel. His
primary research interests address the practice of evidence in health care, the use of clinical informatics to
improve safety and quality of care, the evaluation of medical-practice patterns, and quality improvement measures
in health care. His credits as an author include more than 50 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, government
reports, and presentations on issues related to health-care quality.
Andrew Chin, Operations and Quality Assurance
At Peoplechart, Andrew is responsible for systems quality assurance and customer operations. Andrew received his Bachelor of
Science in Management Information Systems from San Jose State University.
Andrew Thomas, Medical Record Specialist
Andrew brings over 10 years of experience in medical records management to Peoplechart through his prior work at a Breast
Cancer clinic where he did mammogram screening, comprehensive patient intake, and patient documentation.
Rhodalyn Royales, Medical Record Specialist
Rhodalyn is responsible for Customer Support and Administrative Operations. She studied nursing and interned in general hospitals,
convalescent homes, and a pediatric clinic before she joined Peoplechart. Rhodalyn has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from
San Francisco State University.
